Anger is said to be a negative emotion. One that can have harmful effects on the person as well as on the people around if not handled well. It is said that anger hampers our thinking pattern and in turn affects our productivity. With a lot of negativity attached to it, anger is considered as a bad emotion. Yes excess of anything is bad and when one’s angry goes out of hand it becomes harmful. But like every thing has its flip side, so does anger.

Anger has a lot of positive effects as well.

Anger is a way of expression other underlying feelings like irritation, stress, anxiety, fear or even pain. This happens because anger is the easiest to access and at the same time gives us authority over the other person or the situation.

Although always seen as negative, anger is an emotion that helps us remain sane. Imagine if we didn’t know how to express our frustration and had to keep it inside us! cannot even imagine the kind of pressure. Therefore anger works as a release, a way in which we can pour out all the negativity that is inside us and helps us feel better.

When expressed in limit anger increases our productivity level. The more we are angry the more independent we become as we don’t like people barging in when we are in a bad moo. Anger also works as a motivating factor at times when we want to prove the other person wrong, therefore is again puts us at a power position.

Anger is therefore a very useful emotion, if channelized in a proper way can give more positive outcomes.
