Rape is one of the most discussed and highlighted crimes in our country. Even thinking about rape leaves us with a feeling of rage and disgust for the rapist. Rape is a severe act of violence and leaves victims shattered with not just physical wounds, but also with wounds on their souls, which they carry around for their lifetime.
Surely a rapist should be punished and victims should be protected for it is not the victim’s fault. But, how fair and strong is our rape law in India?
