Conflicts are inevitable. And our most common reaction to conflicts is to avoid it. Many others get really upset and turn to verbal attacks, a few others even get sick. But far too many people switch to denial mode, which aggravates the situation even further.

In principle, most conflicts start when you have an unmet need and you go straight to the management of conflict, bypassing the crucial steps of expressing the need and finding out if the need can/can not be met.
