5 Celebrities Who Have Battled Depression

What is the first image you get when you think of a depressed person? Someone who is unsuccessful and dull and poor and ugly, right?

Most of us have this misconception about depression – that you must have faced a catastrophe in order to be depressed, that your life must be pathetic.

But think of depression as any other physiological disorder – it doesn’t discriminate and is as simple as an imbalance in the chemicals and hormones of your body. It could happen to you, it could happen to anyone.

But we are not trying to bum you out, and we are definitely not trying to say that depression is all-pervading and that there is no happiness left in the World.

We are just saying that celebrities are humans too, but you can take faith and be inspired by how they overcome depression and decided to pay it forward by spreading awareness about mental health.

Well, here is a list of 5 successful, bright, rich and beautiful people who have battled depression.

  1. Deepika Padukone:

For someone who literally has it all – it was heart-breaking for many of her fans when Deepika Padukone admitted to having depression. Where you’re not getting any answers, but you’re living OK. And you can smile at the office. You know?”
